CNN's Roland Martin Suspended Over Tweets Viewed as Homophobic
Roland Martin CNN has suspended commentator Roland Martin after a number of tweets considered anti-gay throughout Sunday's Super Bowl."Roland Martin's tweets were unlucky and offensive," the network stated inside a statement Wednesday. "Language that demeans is sporadic using the values and culture in our organization, and isn't tolerated. He later tweeted, "Who the hell was that Colonial Patriot they simply demonstrated inside a mind to foot pink suit? "That's farthest in the truth, and that i sincerely regret any offense my words have triggered."In reaction towards the news of his suspension, GLAAD published an argument on its website adoring CNN for following through. "CNN today required a powerful stand against anti-LGBT violence and language that demeans any community," stated Wealthy Ferraro, GLAAD spokesperson.
