theres a scene where after the terminator kills ginger, sarah calls
her on the house phone, explaining she is at the tech noir club, which
then causes the terminator to go to that club, which leads to sarah
meeting kyle reese, the club shootout, kyle getting arrested, the two
conceiving John and Kyle dying in the end-essentially the whole plot
rests on that phone call
BUT the phone was off the hook meaning Sarah couldnt have called it,
she would have just got a dial tone, she couldnt have lef a message.
Therefore no club shootout, no kyle reese, no police station shootout,
no John Connor
in fact, since the terminator believed Ginger was Sarah, so he would
have believed his mission was complete, he would deactivate or
whatever and the story would be finished, unless skynet sent something
else back.
So Kyle wouldnt die but theyd also never meet, have sex and concieve
John
Even though its only a small goof the entire movie is unrealistic
because of it, the entire movie and the sequels should have never
happened that way, it destroys the believablity of the entire
franchise
Do you have any explination as to how this could have happened?
Perhaps in the terminator universe phones work differently (after all
technology is significantly advanced) but hat seems like a cop out
